Construction law is a discipline of law that deals with building construction, engineering, and other related fields. It is essentially a synthesis of contract law, commercial law, planning law, employment law, and tort law. Contract, negligence, bonds and bonding, guarantees and sureties, liens and other security interests, tenders, construction claims, and associated consultant contracts are all covered under construction law. Many actors in the building sector are affected by construction law, including financial institutions, surveyors, quantity surveyors, architects, builders, engineers, construction workers, and planners.
